This is an easy and very quick recipe for Greek-style meatballs, that yields a whopping 30 servings. In just 20 minutes you will enjoy the juiciest meatballs ever with minced beef & pork, onions, garlic, herbs, and modest spices. 

Serve with a tzatziki sauce or lemon for a kick!

Greek Meatballs (Keftedes), GF, DF

Ingredients

For the Meatballs:
  • 1 pound of ground beef
  • 1 pound of ground pork
  • 1 grated onion
  • 1 minced bunch of cilantro
  • 6 minced garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon of black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon of paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon of oregano
  • 1/4 cup of vegan mayo
  • 1/4 cup of gluten-free flour
  • 1/2 cup of olive oil

Directions

For the Meatballs:
  • In a mixing bowl add ground beef, pork, onion, cilantro, garlic, spices, and vegan mayo
  • Mix ingredients for the meatballs until equally incorporated
  • Using a scooper or a spoon, roll meatballs by hand until equally spherical
  • Then one-by-one just lightly roll the surface of the meatballs into the gluten-free flour
  • Add olive oil to a cooking pot or dutch oven over medium heat
  • After 5 minutes, add meatballs to the frying oil in batches
  • Fry meatballs on each side for 3-5 minutes
  • Remove meatballs from the frying oil to a drying rack when they’re done
  • Serve with tzatziki sauce or lemon
